Itunes Autofill haha...

For my iPod shuffle i have the option of iTunes choosing at random all the songs that will fit and i decided to give it a go since i was pressed for time and wanted to get going. So it did its thing and i headed for my favorite running spot "Logan River Trail in Logan Canyon". I got going and the music was ok, my legs were feeling ok as well and then around 15 minutes into it i realized i was listening to Simon and Garfunkel's "Sounds of Silence" but in Spanish. It was actually pretty awesome. I realized how totally random this mix wold be mostly since half the music i had no idea i even had. The next shocker was the fact i was listening to Britney Spears "Toxic", ha ha, also there was a lot of Operation Ivy, Bouncing Souls, and Bad Religion. Those three bring back memories. Mostly of a chubby, jolly Mick Roberts. There was also a Modest Mouse song that had some sort of maraca in it that sent me jumping across the path cause i thought id encountered a rattle snake. I also remember some Neko Case, Neil Diamond, and Built to Spill. So that was the music part of the run...

The Run Run went like this...Ive been having my dam
shin pain lately again so early on i felt it but it wasn't so bad. I go to my 15 min stretch point and was actually doing pretty good. i went op optimistic abou the run and took off for the switch backs. I found a fork in the road that ive passed many a times and always going left. I
decided to go right and it was awesome. The views of Logan canyon were terrific. Some of the trail turned quite steep so there was some hiking involved but I added 30 minutes or so to my run by going that route. I then realized in doing that i was getting kind of dehydrated but since this was my first long run in a while that i felt this good i continued on and got a really pretty good 90 minute run in that i was very happy with despite the cotton mouth when i got back to the start.

Oh yeah and on July 4th I ran the Tooele Freedom 5k with my 10 year old niece and she did fantastic. Good Job Morgan!
